No LNG in Oregon, Yes to Clean Energy!

Rally in Salem, OR on 1/13/09, 30.12.2008 - 15:09
Several coastal locations in Oregon are proposed sites for highly explosive liquified natural gas (LNG) terminals, to be brought in to port via large tankers from overseas locations. In addition to legitimate concerns about dredging being destructive to the riparian estuary ecosystems, the highly explosive properties of supercooled natural gas present risks in known seismic areas of the Cascadian subduction zone.

They are selling our personal medical records!

STOP CORPORATE GREED - SUPPORT HR676, 30.12.2008 - 06:15
* Linda Ackerman * Another problem with for-profit healthcare. They are selling our personal health care information to the highest bidder! A gap in the HIPAA law, the very law that is suppose to protect an individual's privacy, has it such that greedy companies are selling our private information... This is the latest example of just how broken the corporate healthcare system has become in the United States of America. It is a national disgrace.

Listen to Monday's (12/22/08) edition of the Brain Labor Report and hear guest Linda Ackerman describe gross violations of the HIPAA law (holes in the law) and how companies like CVS-Caremark sell prescription information to drug manufacturers and other third parties--such as health, life and long term insurers. >>>Listen Here:  http://www.kskq.org/brainlabor/?p=432

PEOPLE'S BAIL-OUT RALLY in MEDFORD, OREGON

SOUTHERN OREGON JOBS WITH JUSTICE, 12.12.2008 - 18:40
12/12/08, Medford, Oregon--Twenty folks stood on the busy street corner at Crater Lake Ave. & Stevens St. today, right in front of Bank of America. It was a cold one as the first severe weather advisory of the season had already been declared: Massive Snowstorm tonight will paint the Rogue Valley white. In the cold today it was easy to remember the huddled masses during the depression who stood in soup lines.

Today's protestors called attention to the United States' tanking economy and the attacks on the working class that make those old photos of the 1930's somehow jump up and take center stage again. History does tend to repeat itself and the plight of the working class might well be headed for soup lines and huddled unemployed masses again. Times are getting very tough for hard working Americans. There is a palatable War On The Workers today. You can feel it in the air.

This just in - Friday Afternoon, December 12

"WE DID IT
Will the editors of Rogue IMC please edit the article to reflect that my continuance was accepted today, and that my new court date is February 9th?"--Noah Balloon

> Murad and Steve,
>
> Judge Guthmann has granted the defendant’s request for a
> continuance. Please note that the trial will be scheduled for
> February 9, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.
Noah Balloon>

Editorial note: Noah Jacobs in previous stories has been known as Noah Balloon. These are the same person. Learn about the horrific police brutality that took place at the Republican National Convention. Support Noah and his appeal for justice, and demand accountability for the fascist actions of these goons in Minnesota.

Rogue Valley activist is called to St. Paul, Minnesota for jury trial on week from today, on December 15th. Due to circumstances beyond his control, he cannot attend this court date. He has appealed to the court for continuance of his trial, only to be denied it for petty political reasons. He is requesting that you call some of the bigwigs in the Twin Cities and demand continuance!
